Espionage Line Art

I was able to knock these four images out last night.

I found some public domain photographs and then used the pen tool in Indesign to create the line work. Manga Studio and Frenden wash brush/ chalk brush layers round out the images.

.
I got lucky with the rifle, as the line art was already
in the public domain.

Cleric Pregen

The above page spread contains Open Game Content.

Another pregen character, this time around a cleric. I wish I had more space to include more info in the notes section of each. It would have been nice to reference some sort of trial during Thadia's training that accounts for her resistance to fear effects, but their isn't much room for flavor text without lowering the font size.

In the end, the pregen sheets just need to be easy to use, there is plenty of room for flavor text in the adventure itself.

Pregen Characters for Black Hack "Stand Alone" Adventure

The above page spread contains Open Game Content.

One of the projects I am working on is a stand alone Fantasy Adventure that includes a "fast play" subset of the Black Hack rules. Everything a GM and players need to play the game as a One shot (or a two or three shot depending on how fast a group typically progresses) will be included.

The adventure comes with eight pregen characters. All four classes from The Black Hack are included, as well as four variant classes built upon each core class.  The images in this post feature a "standard warrior", and a variant of the Conjurer.

Each character has some special item or ability included in their "notes" section. Volkier the Warrior gains a bonus when using his dagger as a thrown weapon, and Elore the Wizard has a familiar that improves his ability to notice things in the dark.

The Adventure begins in the small town of Vigilance, where the occupants have stood watch over a dormant evil for three generations. The townsfolk do not welcome outsiders often, and no visitors are permitted to remain longer than a single night.

The second page in each spread features a table of additional Special Features
that can be learned as the characters level  up (at levels 3,5,7,9, and 10).
Progress on The Wasted Hack is slower than I would like, but good.  I am up to 56 pages so far (and nearing completion!) including a monster section created in the same style as Waste-Land Beasts and How to Kill Them.

Today I am featuring two of the four classes included in the game. "Savage" class characters were once members of the raiders, gangers, and ravagers that roam the ruined earth taking what they will by force. Their abilities and available special features reflect their brutal past. Savages are, hands down, the strongest melee fighters in the game.
Both Images contain text that is designated Open Game Content. A link to the license is here.

Veterans are one of of two classes that have a Special Feature which
allows them to take a special feature from other classes.
The second class introduced in the game is the Veteran. Veterans have served in some manner of military capacity, from stronghold guards to militia members. Their military training is reflected in their character template and available features.

Veterans excel in the use of firearms and pre-apocalypse military gear. There is no other class as lethal with ranged combat.

Waste-Land Beasts Update

I have updated "Waste-Land Beasts and How to Kill Them", fixing a couple mistakes including an incorrect HD value for the Blood Hawk.

I have also included a second "Creature Customization" table originally created for the print version (still in proofing stage).

Still working on "The Wasted Hack" as well as a first level adventure.
